Hydrogen-Aeolic Energy with Optimised eLectrolysers Upstream of Substation

Haeolus and Covid-19

Everybody’s life has been turned upside down this year, and Haeolus has not been an exception. Whereas work still proceeds for most aspects, some critical activities have been delayed significantly. So, when is hydrogen coming to Finnmark?

Our most significant problem has been the testing of our hydrogen system, which is currently sitting at Hydrogenics in Belgium. The various lockdowns, border closings, work-from-home requirements have strongly delayed the testing phase of what is essentially a completed system.

As Belgium battles a second surge of the pandemic, estimates for delivery are being further pushed down the road. Hydrogenics’ estimate for delivery is currently around February 2021, yet this is of course very dependent on many factors far beyond our control.

Stay safe everyone. Winter is coming, so is a new summer after it.
